The Wild Divine Rocks CES with Intel!
We are very excited to be partnering with Intel.
At last month’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas,
the huge Intel booth featured our products. Here’s Intel’s
report from the show floor:
Intel Corporation, the leading manufacturer of
microprocessors that power personal computers, demonstrated
The Journey to Wild Divine at CES in Las Vegas January
5th through 9th. In an amazingly loud and raucous atmosphere,
show attendees lined up sometimes four- and five-deep to try
controlling their breathing and focusing their thoughts to successfully
complete exercises in the software on screen. A researcher at
a major auto manufacturer wondered aloud if similar technology
could be implemented in automobiles to help “those stress-filled
commutes.” He also suggested that biofeedback could be
a key to helping drivers keep their cool and control frayed
tempers. Overall, many show attendees approached skeptical,
but left the demo with a better understanding of biofeedback
technology and their own mind-body connection. |

A Healthy Heart is
a Happy Heart
Welcome to the February edition of the Wild Divine
newsletter. Although February is most often associated with
Valentine’s Day, whose symbol is a heart, we all know
that a happy heart is about much more than just being with your
true love (although that’s a great start). The happiest
heart is a healthy heart, one that is not only loved by others,
but by you. Loving your heart means treating it with care and
respect. Nutrition, exercise, and meditation are all important
components of heart health. With that in mind, this month we
focus on providing you with assistance in achieving a truly
happy heart.
Our first article this month comes from Susan
Marque. Susan is an author and a food coach, and her
article explains how to look at food as energy and recognize
the benefits of eating right; she’s also included in a
recipe for Japanese-style Kinpira. This month’s Mind-Body

Understanding
the Energy of Food

I love good tools for whatever I am doing. Having
just the right tool can make such a big difference! Have you
ever tried to fix a sink with just a pencil or write a letter
with a hammer? It sounds silly, yet many people eat foods that
drain their energy and deplete their immunity on a regular basis
without even being aware of it. When a person eats randomly
or purely for pleasure without knowing the effect the food is
having, they are not free. Tools offer more freedom. Learning
how energy is working is a great tool. Everything is made up
of energy, and food is no exception. Each food has an energetic
quality that it offers us, as well as the cooking styles we
use. I learned about food in order to heal myself; it started
with a journey to London almost twenty years ago, and I continue
to discover more and more.

a number of desirable things begin to happen--slowly at first,
and deepening over time:
First, when you focus your awareness, you gain
more power. When you concentrate any form of energy, including
mental energy, you gain power. This power may come in many forms.
For example, when you focus your mind, you concentrate better.
When you concentrate better, you perform better. You can accomplish
more, whether in the classroom, in the boardroom, or in the
athletic arena. Whatever you do, you do it more effectively
when you meditate.

of the Breathing Tree
Try this: Every day this week, take five minutes
to practice the heart breath – either by doing this event,
or by sitting somewhere quiet where you won’t be disturbed.
To enhance your awareness of the heart breath, put both hands
on your heart and feel its gentle rise and fall as you fill
your lungs slowly from the bottom to the top, letting your belly
relax. Imagine warmth and compassion radiating out from your
heart center with each breath. |

are joined, and that center is the heart. It is your heart that
aches or swells with love, that feels compassion and trust,
that seems empty or full. Within the heart is a subtler center
that experiences spirit, but spirit is not felt as an emotion
or physical sensation. How, then, can you contact it? According
to the masters, spirit is experienced first as the absence of
what is not spirit.
