Positive attitude sprinkled with gratitude! It is
a good time to turn our attention to our overall well-being
with the hectic holiday season growing near. It is tempting
to loosen our hold on our positive thinking and give in to
stress. During this month of Thanksgiving, let us take note
for all that we have to be grateful for, forgive ourselves
and others.
This
month, our main article comes from the Mayo Clinic titled,
"Stress: Unhealthy
Response To The Pressures of Life," speaks
of what unnecessary stress can do to our health.
Enjoy
our additional reads which feature articles titled, "How
To Forgive Your Enemies,"
by Erin O'Donnell, explaining how long standing disputes can
stress you out and cause disease and do not miss our article
titled, "Take Control of Your Brain Health
by Thinking Positive". - AARP.
Finally,
enjoy this month's tips from our leading wellness expert Dr.
Andrew Weil, discussing "How important
it is to connect with ourselves, others, and the environment".
We
hope you continue to find inspiration from this reading.
As always, stay healthy, and keep discovering your rhythm.

Story
Stress:
unhealthy response to the pressures of life
-
Mayo Clinic
Letting
stress get the best of you may be doing more harm than you
think. Take control by understanding the stress response and
how your body reacts.
Today's
news includes round-the-clock coverage of natural and man-made
disasters. Earthquakes and floods. Wars and terrorist attacks.
Just 10 minutes of watching the news can make your stress
level soar.
Compounding
matters, you've got a big presentation in an hour, and you've
hardly had a chance to prepare. Urgent e-mails keep popping
onto your display screen, each one sending a stab of anxiety
through your chest. As you frantically scribble notes for
the presentation, your heart races, your palms sweat and your
head pounds.

Control of Brain Health. Practice Positive Thinking.
-AARP
You've

fact, a positive outlook on life is one of the most important
things we can do to keep our brain healthy and ready for learning.
How we view ourselves, how we perceive the world around us,

What
We Are Eating
DARK
CHOCOLATE has Sweet Effect On Blood Flow.
Chocolate
lovers, take heart: A Japanese study finds that flavonoid-rich
dark chocolate can improve coronary blood flow.
"Flavonoid-rich
dark chocolate intake had acute effects in improving coronary
function in healthy adults, as compared to non-flavonoid white
chocolate, independent of changes in oxidative stress parameters,
blood pressure and lipid profile," wrote the researchers
from Chiba University.
Wild
Divine loves chocolate! What better time than the holidays
to enjoy this delicious sweet treat that is also good for
our hearts!
