WHAT'S NEW

Expo East

We our proud to report that Wild Divine CEO Kurt Smith was invited to be one of the participants in the Life Lab Meeting held in conjunction with the Science & Mind meetings hosted by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Zurich last month.

Kurt met and worked with business and science leaders from all over the world to find ways to positively impact the world using technology, science and business.

The Wild Divine Project is very honored to be represented at this important event. Kurt’s report from the conference: “The Dalai Lama is calling out for scientists and technologists to generate ideas, research and products that capture the therapeutic essence of a Buddhist lifestyle and practice and provide credibility as well as accessibility to a widespread audience."

"The Dalai Lama kept coming back to Mind Training in every discussion, specifically how we can provide useful tools to the population. The trip was a great way for me to synthesize some elements in my thinking regarding our technology and our future.“

Also, we were lucky to have Deepak Chopra with us for our visit to Natural Products Expo East in Washington, D.C. in September. Deepak delivered the keynote address at the conference, after which he spent time at our booth signing CDs and talking to many customers and resellers of The Journey to Wild Divine. Our thanks to Dr. Chopra for taking the time to meet with our community; our new booth looked great too!

TRAINING TIPS

Each month we try to help you integrate the activities in The Journey into your life for greater wellness. Balloons on The Winds of Thought is the third exercise in The Passage; here’s how to think about the event in a daily contextt:

Try this: Today, take note of when you catch yourself getting lost in endless thought. Notice if being on that treadmill raises stress levels in you, or spirals downward. Visualize the balloon and set it afloat on the current of your thoughts to see where they’re taking you.

A Conversation with Nawang Khechog, Former Buddhist Monk and Your Guide Through Wisdom Quest and The Passage

So what have you been up to lately?

Actually, I kind of had my own Wisdom Quest, going to India and receiving teachings from the Dalai Lama. Within Buddhist teaching I feel that there is a lot of teaching that is beyond religion. Things having to do with wisdom, or how to grow love and compassion within, how to find inner peace, how to find quietness and calmness, stillness within our consciousness and within our heart, so that we have a more calm and peaceful being.

Donald Moss, Ph.D., Author and Past President of the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, on Mind-Body Medicine

Mind-body medicine is a revolutionary twenty-first century approach to healthcare that includes a wide range of behavioral and lifestyle interventions, on an equal basis with traditional medical interventions. The patient in mind-body medicine is understood as a totality of body, mind, and spirit, and interventions are directed at each of these aspects of the person. The conditions which cause human suffering today in the affluent societies of the developed world are caused as much by lifestyle, dietary habits, activity level and life-stress as they are by such traditional causes of disease as infection, virus, bacteria and physical trauma.
