Sheer bliss is exploring “The Journey to Wild Divine”

I’m not a big fan of computer games. Nor am I prone to crystals, patchouli oil or saying “Namaste” without giggling uncontrollably. So you can imagine the sarcastic commentary that accompanied my introduction to “The Journey to Wild Divine,” a biofeedback computer game that promises to teach the art of the “heart breath” and help players to discover ancient yogic wisdom.

Using your mouse and biofeedback sensors that clip onto your fingers, you navigate an elaborate garden populated with very calm teachers. The sensors measure your skin conductivity level and heart rate. When I was faced with a screen asking me to stack a pile of rocks simply by focusing my mind, I laughed. The rocks didn’t budge. So I concentrated. Bythe time I got the second rock to stand on the first, I had blocked out the noisy room and turned off the chatter in my head.
