The technology in Relaxing Rhythms measures your reactions to your physical and mental energy. The grapher screen allows you to track your measurements as you transform the rhythms of your thoughts, emotions, and state of mind. By following the 15-Step Guided Training Program, you'll begin to see positive, measurable results from the very first step!

Finally, you'll complete each step by practicing your new skills during the interactive feedback events. Watch your thoughts, emotions, and state of mind at play in beautiful on-screen surroundings as you learn to juggle balls with your laughter, build a stairway with your breath, and meditate to open doors! The basics of Wild Divine

Technically, The Wild Divine Iom is a patented scientific instrument that functions as an alternative input device. In practical terms, it acts similar to your mouse, keyboard, or joystick as the connection between you and your computer. As a simple example, lets say something on the screen requires you to move your mouse left. In Wild Divine, you might have to relax your muscles and calm down to move left on the screen. The Iom makes that possible. It picks up your body's extremely subtle signals of emotion, stress, calmness, tension, happiness, and lets you progress based on your ability to control yourself.

You receive instant feedback on changes in your thoughts, emotions, breathing, posture, and levels of calm or stress. The Iom is very simple to use, it plugs into any standard USB port on Mac or PC computers, and interfaces with Wild Divine software to give you an interactive experience like no other.

Dr. Bob Whitehouse is a psychologist certified in biofeedback, and former board member for the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback:

"Active Feedback uses electronic equipment to monitor internal physiological states and gives feedback that helps the recipient learn how to control these states; to activate, balance, release or to recover from them. Usually this also involves a coach, who guides the process, interprets the results, and makes suggestions. In Wild Divine programs however, the guide/coach is included in the game, and the game itself gives you personalized information about your progress."

Wild Divine measures a player's Skin Conductance Level (SCL) and Heart Rate Variability (HRV). Increased SCL indicates increased autonomic nervous system activation, which is associated with increased energy-both positive, like excitement, and negative, like fear.

nissim1.jpgZen Master Nissim Amon

Master Amon was ordained in Korea by Zen-Master Seung Sahn at the Hwa Gye Monastery, with the designation of monk and Meditation Teacher. Later he traveled to Japan, and studied with G.W. Nishijima, a Soto Zen-Master, from which he received a Dharma Transmission and got his Zen-Master title.

As a wandering monk, he was also trained in the Forest Monasteries of Thailand and in Tibetan Monasteries in India and Nepal. In Puna, India, he taught Zen Practices at the famous Osho Center, where he was exposed to a revolutionary approach to heal emotional wounds, a tool that is used to achieve inner balance. Master Amon is also featured in Wild Divine's "Zen Journey with Master Nissim Amon"


Dean Ornish

Dr. Dean Ornish

Dr. Dean Ornish is the founder, president and director of the non-profit Preventive Medicine Research Institute in Sausalito, California where he holds the Safeway Chair, and is Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco.

For the past 25 years, Dr. Ornish has directed clinical research demonstrating, for the first time, that comprehensive lifestyle changes may begin to reverse even severe coronary heart disease, without drugs or surgery. He recently directed the first randomized controlled trial demonstrating that comprehensive lifestyle changes may affect the progression of prostate cancer.

He is the author of five best-selling books, including New York Times bestsellers Dr. Dean Ornish's Program for Reversing Heart Disease, Eat More, Weigh Less, and Love and Survival. Dr. Ornish was recognized as one of the most interesting people of 1996 by People magazine, featured in the Time 100 issue on alternative medicine, and chosen by LIFE magazine as "one of the 50 most influential members of his generation."

Dr. Andrew Weil

Dr. Andrew Weil is a best-selling author with more than 4 million copies in print, including Spontaneous Healing, 8 Weeks to Optimum Health, Eating Well for Optimum Health and The Healthy Kitchen. Every one of his recent books has hit the No.1 slot on the New York Times best-seller list. Dr. Weil is a frequent guest on Larry King Live and Oprah; he has also hosted his own television specials on PBS.

A Harvard Medical School graduate with an AB degree in biology, Dr. Weil has traveled the world experiencing and studying healers and healing systems. He has earned an international reputation as an expert on alternative medicine, mind-body interactions and medical botany.


Joan Borysenko

Joan Borysenko

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D. is a cancer cell biologist, a licensed psychologist, and a yoga and meditation instructor. A cofounder and former director of the Mind/Body Clinic at New England Deaconess Hospital, she has also taught at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Borysenko is a pioneer in the emerging medical field of psychoneuroimmunology. She lives in Colorado and is the author of the New York Times bestseller Minding the Body, Mending the Mind. Other books include Fire in the Soul; Guilt is the Teacher, Love is the Lesson; and On Wings of Light.  


Stephen Cope

Stephen Cope

Stephen Cope is a psychotherapist who studies the relationship between Western psychology and the Eastern contemplative traditions. He is currently Senior Scholar-in-Residence at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts, and the author of Yoga and the Quest for the True Self and Awakening the Witness.  


 

Nawang Khechog

Nawang Khechog

Nawang Khechog was born in Tibet and spent his earliest years as the child of nomads. In his boyhood he first learned to play the bamboo flute, an ancient instrument popular in rural villages throughout Tibet. After the brutal subjugation of Tibet by Chinese Communists in 1949, Nawang and his family escaped to India. There he studied meditation and Buddhist philosophy, a path he followed as a monk for eleven years - four of them as a hermit. In 1986, he immigrated to Australia where he first performed, and his recordings achieved bestseller status.

Nawang is best known for his collaborations with Kitaro, including a world tour and performances on Kitaro's Grammy-nominated Enchanted Evening and Mandala albums. His live performances with Philip Glass, Paul Winter, Laurie Anderson, Paul Simon, Natalie Merchant, and Baba Olatunji have received international acclaim.

Sharon Salzberg

Born in New York City in 1952, Sharon Salzberg experienced a childhood involving considerable loss and turmoil. An early realization of the power of meditation to overcome personal suffering determined her life direction. Her teaching and writing now communicates that power to a worldwide audience of practitioners.

Sharon has studied and practiced meditation with Burmese, Indian, and Tibetan teachers for the past 25 years. She is a co-founder of the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies and the Insight Meditation Society, where she lives and teaches.
